There are many words I could use to describe myself: jazz aficionado, 5K runner, silent movie buff, podcastaholic, and voracious reader.

My journey to that hasn’t been the easiest one. I went to some really dark places in my own mind as a teenager. After drifting around Europe, through grad school, stumbling through the convent, I taught for a few years before I settled in my current career.

However, being the founder of the Plus One Woman blog is what I am most proud of. It is born of my attempts to learn how to gracefully and not-so-gracefully navigate through life as A) a single woman and B) someone who hasn’t been smaller than a size 14 since the late 1990s.

I hope you will join me here on the blog and in social media to make Plus One Woman the go-to resource for living your best life as a single, curvy woman. Because joy is not a number on a label or a marital status 🙂
